Rogue Memories

by Langham Research Centre

/

about

Rogue Memories is the first movement of the new LRC work, Remembering the Landscape of Tomorrow, specially composed for 2023's Rainy Days Festival, Luxembourg.

It deploys recordings from previous eras along with electronic sounds created using devices once found in studios like the BBC Radiophonic Workshop and the WDR Cologne. Those early days are recalled through a prism of modernist methodology and ideals. Sound and shape and gesture create an imaginary landscape for the ears.
